Crumb Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. Crumb has no accounts and we run no servers for it, so no personal data reaches us.

Your formulas

Formulas, measuring sheets and unit settings are stored only on your device. Crumb does not upload them, and we cannot see them.

If you use Pro’s share feature, Crumb creates an image of your measuring sheet and hands it to your device’s share menu. It goes only where you choose to send it.

Device permissions

Crumb does not ask for camera, photo library, location, contacts or notification access.

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows a banner ad on the formula list only. There are no ads in the formula editor or the DDT calculator. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which is operated by Google, not by us. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app may collect:

• Device identifiers, such as the advertising ID. On iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is only available if you allow tracking.
• IP address, which may be used to estimate your general (coarse) location.
• App interactions and diagnostics, such as ad views and taps, app launches, and crash and performance data, used for ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention.

Buying Crumb Pro removes the ads.

Your choices

• iOS: Crumb may ask whether it can track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and you may see less personalized ads. You can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
• EEA, UK and Switzerland: Crumb shows a consent message from Google before ads are personalized. You can change your choice at any time in Crumb’s Settings → Privacy options.

Purchases

Crumb Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your payment details. Crumb checks your purchase with the store on your device and stores only a “Pro unlocked” flag locally.

Children

Crumb is not directed to children under 13 and is not part of the App Store Kids category or Google Play’s Designed for Families program.

Keeping and deleting data

You can delete a formula inside the app at any time. Uninstalling Crumb permanently deletes all of its data from your device. Data collected by Google AdMob is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies linked above.

International users

Crumb is available worldwide. Your formulas never leave your device. Data collected by Google for advertising may be processed in countries other than your own, under Google’s policies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date before the change takes effect.
